Puzey Gets Honor

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii’s Thomas Rivers Puzey has been named the Pacific West Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for his performance at the BYU–Hawaii Invitational this past weekend.  Puzey took first place individually and set a new Brigham Young University Hawaii 5K record as the Seasiders’ men’s cross country team swept the meet against Chaminade with a perfect team score of 15.

Puzey, from Hermiston, Oregon, ran a time of 16:03 to break teammate Brendan McMaster’s one-week-old school record by three seconds.  He is the first Seasider male to be honored as conference Runner of the Week this season.
