Seasiders Move Up One
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team moved up one spot, to seventh, in the NCAA II West Regional poll released today by the NCAA. The Seasiders, 10-5 for the season, are 7-4 in the West Region but were 6-4 in the region at the time of the voting. The regional poll ultimately determines which teams make the post-season and where the regional tournament will be played. The top eight teams in the region at the end of the season will get invitations to the regional and the host team will be the highest ranked team that puts in an acceptable bid to host the tournament.
The Seasiders defeated Chaminade last week and Notre Dame de Namur on Monday and will face Academy of Art tonight (Wednesday) in a Pacific West Conference matchup set to begin at 7:30 pm.
