Seasiders Lose to Argonauts
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s basketball team lost to Notre Dame de Namur tonight, 65-57, in Pacific West Conference action. The Seasiders and Argonauts were tied at halftime but Notre Dame de Namur turned up the defensive intensity in the second half and held BYU–Hawaii to just six field goals after intermission to pull away.
Richelle Fenenbock scored 16 points and hit four three-pointers to lead the Seasiders. Dara Tompkison, Losaline Faka’osi, Zori Drew, and Kristen Hartley each finished with seven points for BYU–Hawaii and Hartley led the team with six rebounds.
Laura Zasly scored 24 points to lead Notre Dame de Namur, now 9-10 for the season and 5-3 in the PacWest. Katie Zasly tallied 11 points while Pilar Mullins scored ten points and pulled down 14 rebounds in the win.
BYU–Hawaii, now 5-11 for the year and 1-5 in the conference, will face Academy of Art on Wednesday in Laie at 5:00 pm HST.
