Seasiders Still Tops

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team continued to hold down the top spot as the nation’s number-one ranked team according to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II poll released today.  It marks the second week in a row that the Seasiders top the poll.  BYU–Hawaii was also ranked number one in the pre-season poll by the coaches.

BYU–Hawaii received all eight first place votes in the poll to tally a perfect 200 points.  The Seasiders opened the season this past week with a pair of victories over Oakland City and are 2-0 for the season.  They travel to Western Oregon for a game on Wednesday and then will play Central Washington on Friday and Seattle Pacific on Saturday as part of a tournament hosted by Seattle Pacific.
