Seasiders Still Tops
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team continued to hold down the top spot as the nation’s number-one ranked team according to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II poll released today. It marks the second week in a row that the Seasiders top the poll. BYU–Hawaii was also ranked number one in the pre-season poll by the coaches.
BYU–Hawaii received all eight first place votes in the poll to tally a perfect 200 points. The Seasiders opened the season this past week with a pair of victories over Oakland City and are 2-0 for the season. They travel to Western Oregon for a game on Wednesday and then will play Central Washington on Friday and Seattle Pacific on Saturday as part of a tournament hosted by Seattle Pacific.
