Faka'osi and Buroker Honored

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii sophomore outside hitter Losaline Faka’osi was named to the Pacific West Conference All-Conference First Team for her play this past season.  Junior middle blocker Tanza Buroker was also honored by the conference, earning Second-Team accolades.

Faka’osi, from Salt Lake City, Utah, led the Seasiders this season with 3.07 kills per game to rank sixth in the PacWest.  She also led BYU–Hawaii in digs with 4.25 per game, good for fourth in the conference.  She was named the PacWest Freshman of the Year last year.

Buroker, from Riverton, Utah, led the PacWest and finished second nationally in NCAA II play with 1.43 blocks per game.  She also led BYU–Hawaii in hitting percentage with .279 and was third on the team in service aces with 13.
