Three Seasiders Honored

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii senior Adam Maciejewski led three Seasiders named to the Pacific West Conference Men’s Soccer All-Conference teams for this past season.  Maciejewski earned First Team honors while Sam Akinaka and Collin Walch each garnered Second-Team honors for the Seasiders.

Maciejewski, from Hamburg, Germany, gained the honor as a midfielder for the second year in a row.  He scored five goals this past season, second-best on the team, and led the Seasiders with a .294 shot percentage.

Akinaka, a senior forward from Haiku, Hawaii, led BYU–Hawaii with eight goals and three game-winning goals.  He also tallied two assists during the season and led the team in points with 18.

Walch, a junior defender from Scotts Valley, California, scored his first career goal this past season and anchored the Seasider defense.  He also tallied two assists during the season.  He was named All-PacWest Honorable Mention as both a freshman and as a sophomore.
