Seasiders Finish Tenth at Regionals

San Francisco, CA—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country team finished in tenth place today at the NCAA II West Regional Championships held at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.  The Seasiders finished with 303 points in the 10K race.
 
BYU–Hawaii’s Spencer Deavila clocked a 33:12, the fourth-best time in school history, to take 40th place in the race to lead the Seasiders.  Brendan McMaster ran a 33:56 for 56th place and Luke Graesser finished in 34:00 for 58th place.  Brandon Krout finished 62nd in 34:07 and Matthew Gulden rounded out the team scoring with a 92nd-place finish in 35:33.  Ryan Belliston also ran for the Seasiders and finished 120th with a time of 37:26.

Chico State won the team title with 42 points and Mark Cheseto of Alaska-Anchorage won the individual title in a time of 30:42.
