Seasiders End Fall Play
Turtle Bay, HI—The Brigham Young University-Hawaii men’s golf team finished 11th today at the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational. The match was held over three days and included several Division I teams. The Seasiders finished with a team total of 921, 57 over par, for the tournament.
BYU–Hawaii’s Doug Bischoff turned in the best individual performance for the Seasiders, shooting a 71-72-80—223 to tie for 36th place. Inoka Kahawaii shot 79-79-72—230 to finish tied for 48th place and Steven Wade tied for 53rd place with 78-83-75—236. Spencer Adkins rounded out the team scoring with a 78-81-78—237 to tie for 55th place. Andrew Alston also competed for the Seasiders and shot 78-84-76—238 to finish in 60th place.
San Diego State won the team title with a 26-under-par team score of 838. Andrew Cooley and Alex Kang, both of San Diego State, tied for the individual lead with seven-under-par 209 totals.
The tournament concluded the fall schedule for the Seasiders. BYU–Hawaii will be back in action in the spring.
