Krout Honored for Second Time

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii sophomore Lacey Krout was named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week this week for her performance in last week’s BYU–Hawaii Invitational.  Krout was the top finisher individually as the Seasiders swept the top three spots in the race.

Krout, from Preston, Idaho, finished the 5K course in 19:12 to earn her second Runner of the Week honor this season, as BYU–Hawaii’s team won its fifth straight meet to open the season.  The Seasiders are ranked ninth in the NCAA II West Region and have received Runner of the Week honors three times this year.
