Seasiders Second Again

Makaha, HI—The Brigham Young University-Hawaii men’s golf team finished second again today in a three-team match with Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade.  The match was held on the par-71 Makaha West Course.  The Seasiders finished with a team total of 299 to trail Hawaii Pacific by 12 strokes for the team title.

Steven Wade and Doug Bischoff each shot two-over 73 to lead the team scoring for the Seasiders.  Andrew Alston shot a 75 and Spencer Adkins a 78 to round out the team total.  Eric Schneider also shot an 88 for BYU–Hawaii.

The Seasiders’ Inoka Kahawaii, competing as an individual and not designated as one of the team scorers, shot the day’s best round with a three-under 68 to take medalist honors in the match.  Hawaii Pacific finished with a team total of 287 and Chaminade placed third with a 322 total.

BYU–Hawaii will be in action again on Thursday against the same two teams on the Kaneohe Klipper Course at 1:00 pm.
