Seasiders Open with Win
Turtle Bay, HI—The Brigham Young University-Hawaii men’s golf team defeated Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade today in a season-opening tri-match on the Fazio Course at Turtle Bay Resort. The Seasiders finished with a team total of 287 to outpace Hawaii Pacific by five strokes for the team title.
BYU–Hawaii’s Doug Bischoff shot a two-under par 70 to pace the Seasiders to the win. Steven Wade carded a 71 for the Seasiders while Mike Klem came in at even-par 72. Spencer Adkins recorded a 74 and Inoka Kahawaii a 75 to round out the BYU–Hawaii scoring.
Hawaii Pacific’s Conner Rumpf took medalist honors with a three-under 69 as the Sea Warriors shot a 292 team total. Chaminade rounded out the field with a 339 team score.
