DeAvila Earns PacWest Honor

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii’s Spencer DeAvila has been named the Pacific West Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for his performance at the Chaminade Invitational this past weekend.  DeAvila took first place individually at the meet to lead the Seasiders to a tie for first place in the race.
   
DeAvila, a junior from Mesa, Arizona, ran a time of 26:26 over the 8K course and was one of four Seasiders to finish in the top ten.  BYU–Hawaii is currently ranked ninth in the West Region of NCAA II.
