BYUH Loses to UH-Hilo
Hilo, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s soccer team fell 2-0 to the UH-Hilo Vulcans today.
Although the Seasiders made several attempts to score, they were unable to make a goal against the Vulcans. UH-Hilo’s Logan Montenegro scored the first goal for the Vulcans in the second minute and Eduardo Gutierrez scored a penalty kick in the 60th minute.
BYU–Hawaii goalie Cory Cosgrave made five saves for the Seasiders. With the loss BYU-Hawaii drops to 2-4 for the season and 1-2 in the PacWest. UH-Hilo is now 3-5 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
BYU–Hawaii’s next game will be on Saturday, October 3 against Grand Canyon. Game time for the Pacific West Conference contest is set for 7:00 pm in Phoenix, Arizona.
