BYU–Hawaii scored the first five points in game one and appeared headed for an easy win, but the Silverswords rallied back to the tie the set at 12 and then pulled ahead to a 14-12 lead.  However, the Seasiders staged their own rally, scoring eight straight points to turn a 16-15 deficit into a 23-16 lead before coasting to the win.

The Seasiders held a five-point advantage at 18-13 in game two before the Silverswords came back with five straight points to tie the set.  A Lacey Laycock ace at 21-21 gave BYU–Hawaii the lead for good as they held on for the two-point win.

BYU–Hawaii seemed to have game three all wrapped up with a 19-12 lead, but once again the Silverswords fought back, catching the Seasiders at 22-22.  The Seasiders scored the next two points but a pair of long, entertaining rallies were won by the Silverswords to knot the score at 24-24 before a BYU–Hawaii block and a Chaminade error ended the match.
