Theurer Named Coach
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii Athletic Department has named Carolyn Theurer as the new head coach of the women’s soccer team. She replaces William Mahoni who coached one season and is moving to the new position of Director of Soccer Operations at the Laie school.
Theurer, from Highland Ranch, Colorado, served as an assistant coach last season for the Seasiders. Prior to that she was the head coach of the Avalanche Soccer Club in Sandy, Utah for one year after coaching youth soccer in American Fork, Utah following her college career. She graduated from Utah Valley State in 2006 with a degree in Business Marketing and Physical Education. She played soccer while in college and was named All-League all four years. She served as team captain as a junior and senior.
