Seasiders Lose to Red Storm
Laie, HI-The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s softball team lost both games in today’s Pacific West Conference double-header against Dixie State, 4-1 and 7-4. With the losses, the Seasiders fall to 7-17 overall and 3-7 in the PacWest.
In the first game Ivy Sessions went 2-4 with two singles for the Seasiders. BYU–Hawaii also got singles from Kimberly Artiaga and Kahealani Alohikea-Betham. The only BYU–Hawaii run in the game came from a homerun by Morgan Necaise in the bottom of the seventh inning.
In the second game Lauren Fielding went 2-3 with a single and a double. Katresha Veazie, Sessions and Artiaga contributed a single each. Scoring runs for the Seasiders were Necaise, Artiaga, Brooke Perriton and April Jorgensen.
The Seasiders will play again versus Academy of Art Monday, March 16th at 1:00 and 3:00 pm in Laie.
