Seasiders Lose Exhibition Game
Waipahu, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team fell short in a seventh-inning rally against Waseda University of Japan tonight and lost to the visitors 5-4 in an exhibition softball game at Central Oahu Regional Park.
The Seasiders trailed 5-1 entering the bottom of the seventh but got RBI singles from Melissa Lehano and Ivy Sessions sandwiched around a run-scoring groundout to cut the deficit to a single run before the rally ended. Lehano and Sessions each collected two of the Seasiders’ eight hits in the game.
The Seasiders, 7-13 for the year, will face Notre Dame de Namur in a Pacific West Conference doubleheader on Thursday in Laie beginning at 1:00 pm.
