Sessions hit a two-run single in the inning as did Veazie, and Alohikea-Betham added a second RBI double. The Seasiders finished off the game with a run in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI single by Alohikea-Betham that increased her team-leading RBI total to 13 for the season.
Julianne Tialavea pitched a strong complete game for the Seasiders in game two but her teammates were unable to score any runs for her. Tialavea gave up just six hits while striking out two and walking one but the Silverswords broke through for the games only run on a single by Shalin Yamaguchi in the top of the eighth inning. Silversword pitcher Kasy’e Lalau allowed the Seasiders just three hits while striking out five and walking one.
Sessions banged out four hits in the two games for BYU–Hawaii and improved her team-leading batting average to .400. She also scored three times and drove in two runs. Alohikea-Betham notched three hits to go with three RBI’s and a run scored and Perriton went 3-6 with a run and an RBI.
