Seasiders Remain Third Nationally

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team remained in third place in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II poll as each of the top three teams won all their games last week.  The Seasiders, winners of 18 straight games and 21-1 overall, received 184 points in the poll, the same number they received each of the last two weeks since moving into the third position for the first time to set a new high for the school in the voting.  The Seasiders were again ranked third on all eight ballots cast in the poll to place behind the nation’s two undefeated NCAA II teams, Findlay (OH) and LIU-C.W. Post (NY).

BYU–Hawaii has already clinched first place in the Pacific West Conference with an 11-0 conference mark.  They are also ranked first in the NCAA II West Regional rankings.  BYU–Hawaii will face Chaminade on both Friday and Saturday this week, with Friday’s game to be played in Laie and Saturday’s game in Honolulu.  Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm.
