Alves Gets Third Honor from PacWest

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii junior forward Lucas Alves has been named the Pacific West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.  Alves led the eighth-ranked Seasiders to a pair of road wins over UH-Hilo this past week to earn the award.

Alves, from Casa Branca, Brazil, averaged 24.5 points per game and 8.5 rebounds in the two games to help the third-ranked Seasiders improve to 18-1 overall and 8-0 in the Pacific West Conference.  Alves leads the conference in scoring this season.
