Seasiders Back in Top Ten

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team jumped back into the top ten today as the Seasiders rose three spots in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II poll, moving to number as the poll resumed after a holiday break.  The Seasiders, 6-1 for the season, were 12th in the December 23rd poll and won their only game since, an 80-63 victory over Hillsdale (MI).

The Seasiders play open Pacific West Conference play today against UH-Hilo in Laie.  They will face the Vulcans again tomorrow in a non-conference matchup and visit Hawaii Pacific on Saturday for another PacWest game.  BYU–Hawaii also leads the nation in three-point percentage as a team according to the latest NCAA II statistics.  The Seasiders are shooting 44.6 percent from long range this season.
