Sims Nabs Honor

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii senior guard Nathan Sims has been named the Pacific West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of December 22-28.  Sims led the Seasiders to a win over Hillsdale (MI) in BYU–Hawaii’s only action of the week.  He is the second Seasider this season to be honored as Player of the Week by the conference.

Sims, from Sky Valley, California, scored 16 points and pulled down 14 rebounds, including eight on the offensive end of the floor, as the Seasiders ran away for an easy win against Hillsdale.  Sims shot 5-9 from the floor for 55.6 percent, hit 5-8 from the free throw line, made one three-pointer, and picked up a steal in the contest.
