Seasider Women Athletes Honored for Scholarship

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii student athletes claimed three of the six Pacific West Conference Scholar Athletes of the Year for women’s sports for the past academic year.  The Seasiders took the coveted awards in women’s soccer, women’s cross country, and women’s tennis with Emily Mearns, Lacey Krout, and Elwen Li Boud getting the vote from the conference sports information directors.

Lowe Honored by PacWest

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii Sports Information Director Scott Lowe has been selected as the 2010-11 Pacific West Conference Sports Information Director of the Year.  The PacWest announced the award today from its media office in Phoenix, Arizona.

102 Seasiders Honored for Academic Achievement

Laie, HI—One hundred and two Brigham Young University-Hawaii student/athletes were honored this week by the Pacific West Conference with All-Conference Academic accolades for the 2010-11 academic year.  The Seasiders’ contingent was the second largest among PacWest schools competing in ten sports, trailing only Dominican’s 108.  In order to receive the honor an athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
