Seasiders Fall to Sea Warriors
Kaneohe, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team lost both ends of a Pacific West Conference doubleheader today to sixth-ranked Hawaii Pacific, falling 9-0 in the first game and 8-0 in the second. Both games were shortened to six innings by the eight-run rule. With the losses the Seasiders fall to 0-20 for the season and 0-12 in the conference. Sixteen of BYU–Hawaii’s losses have come to teams ranked in the top ten nationally.

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team lost a heartbreaker to seventh-ranked Grand Canyon in the opener of a Pacific West Conference doubleheader today, falling 4-3 on a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Seasiders lost the second game 10-2 to fall to 0-16 for the season and 0-8 in the conference.
Seasiders Lose to Number Seven Antelopes
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team dropped a pair of Pacific West Conference games today to nationally-ranked Grand Canyon. The Seasiders lost the opener 12-0 on a no-hitter by Grand Canyon pitcher Amy Searcy and fell 18-5 in the second game to fall to 0-14 for the season and 0-6 in the conference.

The Seasiders struggled at the plate, picking up just two hits in each game against the fourth-ranked Red Storm, and fell to 0-10 for the season and 0-2 in the conference.
Waipio, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team broke out of an early-season hitting slump by slugging 24 hits today but left the winning runs on base in both games as they fell to Chaminade in a pair of non-conference games today. The Seasiders lost both games 5-4 as they fell to 0-8 for the season.

Seasiders Open with Two Losses
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team opened the season today with a pair of losses to Hawaii Pacific. The Seasiders dropped the first game 11-1 and came up short in the second game by a score of 4-0. Both of the games were non-conference contests.
Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii has appointed Scott Lowe to be the new head coach of the women’s softball team at the school to replace Jackson Mapu, who retired this year after ten seasons at the helm of the Seasiders. Lowe will continue to serve as the school’s assistant athletic director and sports information director in addition to assuming the softball duties.
Seasiders End Season, Honor Seniors and Coach
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader today to Chaminade, losing 7-5 in 11 innings in the opener and dropping the second game 3-2. The Seasiders, playing their final games of the season, then bid farewell to three seniors and their head coach.
Belmont, CA—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s softball team scored seven runs over the final two innings of the day to score a 7-2 win over Notre Dame de Namur and earn a split of a Pacific West Conference doubleheader today. Notre Dame de Namur won the first game 4-3 in eight innings.
Phoenix, AZ—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s softball team lost both ends of a Pacific West Conference doubleheader today to Grand Canyon on the road. The Seasiders dropped the first game 9-2 and fell in the second game 17-7 on the eight-run rule after Grand Canyon scored ten runs in the bottom of the sixth to break a 7-7-7 tie and claim the win.
Seasiders Split with #18 Dixie
St. George, UT—Brigham Young University Hawaii pitcher Katresha Veazie pitched a one-hitter as the Seasider women’s softball team defeated 18th-ranked Dixie State 3-1 on the road today in the first game of a Pacific West Conference doubleheader. The Red Storm came back to take the second game 6-0 behind a no-hitter by Lauren Folta.
Veazie Tosses One-Hitter as Seasiders Earn Split
Waipahu, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii pitcher Katresha Veazie pitched a five-inning one-hitter as the Seasider women’s softball team shutout Chaminade 9-0 in the first game of a Pacific West Conference doubleheader today. The Silverswords turned the tables on the Seasiders in the second game, winning 4-0.
Honolulu, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s softball team dropped a pair of games to Hawaii Pacific today, losing the first game 9-4 and falling in the second game 13-2 in five innings.
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s softball team took advantage of a pair of unusual breaks to claim both ends of a non-conference doubleheader today against Academy of Art. The Seasiders took the first game 1-0 with the benefit of an illegal pitch and scored the winning run in the second game on a wild pitch that went into the dugout to take the second game 3-2.
Alohikea-Betham Walkoff Homer Paces Win
Laie, HI-Kahealani Alohikea-Betham blasted a walkoff homerun to left field in the bottom of the eighth inning to the give the Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s softball team a thrilling, come-from-behind victory in the opening game of a non-conference doubleheader against Academy of Art today in Laie. Alohikea-Betham’s blast gave the Seasiders a 2-1 win and made a winner of BYU–Hawaii pitcher Katresha Veazie. Academy of Art took the second game 2-0.

Waipahu, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team fell short in a seventh-inning rally against Waseda University of Japan tonight and lost to the visitors 5-4 in an exhibition softball game at Central Oahu Regional Park.
Seasiders Battle Powerful Lock Haven
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team battled national power Lock Haven to a near standstill in the opening game of a non-conference doubleheader today before falling to the Bald Eagles in a squeaker, 1-0. The Bald Eagles showed why they were ranked number one nationally in the pre-season rankings by taking the second game 8-0 on the eight-run rule after six innings.

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team split a non-conference doubleheader with Chaminade today, winning the opening game 8-0 behind a one-hit shutout by Katresha Veazie before losing an extra-inning heartbreaker, 1-0, in the second game. The Seasiders improved to 5-9 for the year with the split while the Silverswords won their first game of the season to move to 1-11.
Veazie Pitches Gem as Seasiders Sweep Silverswords
Waipahu, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii softball team swept Chaminade in a non-conference doubleheader tonight at Central Oahu Regional Park. The Seasiders’ Katresha Veazie pitched an 11-inning shutout to lead BYU–Hawaii to a 2-0 win in the extra-inning opener and the Seasiders exploded for six runs in the first inning of the second game en route to a 9-3 win that was called short due the lights being turned out at the park.

The Seasiders exploded for eight runs in the first two innings of the second game and then held on for an 8-7 win after dropping the opening game 3-1.
