Women's Cross Country Team

Women Take Ninth

San Francisco, CA—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team finished ninth today at the NCAA II West Regional held in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.  The Seasiders finished with a team score of 300 in the 25-team 6K meet.

Women Claim PacWest Crown

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team successfully defended its Pacific West Conference title today, placing five runners in the top seven to total 22 points and claim the conference crown.  The Seasiders finished 20 points ahead of second-place Hawaii Pacific.

Krout Honored for Second Time

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii sophomore Lacey Krout was named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week this week for her performance in last week’s BYU–Hawaii Invitational.  Krout was the top finisher individually as the Seasiders swept the top three spots in the race.

Women Keep Winning

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team, ranked ninth in the West Region, claimed four of the top five spots today to take the team title at the BYU–Hawaii Invitational.  The win was the Seasiders’ fifth in as many meets this season as they tallied 19 points to best second-place Hawaii Pacific by 29 points.

Women Move Up in Poll

Laie, HI—After spending the past three weeks of the season ranked tenth in the West Region, the Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team finally moved up a notch this week according to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll.  The Seasiders, who have finished first in all four meets they have competed in this season, moved up to the ninth spot in the poll this week.

Seasiders Win on Big Island

Hilo, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team, ranked tenth in the West Region, continued its winning ways today, taking the title at the UH-Hilo Invitational.  The win was the Seasiders’ fourth in as many meets this season as they tallied 25 points to best second-place Hawaii Pacific by seven points.

Krout Honored by PacWest

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii sophomore Lacey Krout was named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week this week for her performance in last week’s Chaminade Invitational.  Krout was the top finisher individually as the Seasiders swept the top five spots in the race.

Seasiders Sweep

Waipio, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team, ranked tenth in the West Region, swept the top five places today at the Chaminade Invitational to score a perfect 15 in winning their third meet of the season.

Seasiders Tenth

Laie, HI—After spending the first two weeks of the season ranked seventh in the West Region, the Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team dropped to tenth this week according to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll.  The Seasiders finished seventh last year at the NCAA II Regional Championships for the highest finish in the program’s NCAA history.

Women Harriers Win Again

Kaneohe, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team picked up its second win of the season today with a first-place finish at the UH Big Wave Invitational.  The Seasiders, ranked seventh in the West Region in the latest rankings, placed five runners in the top 11 over the 4K course and finished with 38 team points to edge UH-Manoa by two points.

Buxton is Runner of the Week

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii sophomore Katherine Buxton was named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week this week for her performance in last week’s Hawaii Pacific Invitational.  Buxton was the top finisher among Pacific West Conference runners in the meet and took fifth place overall.

Women Harriers Open with Win

Kualoa Ranch, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team opened the season successfully today with a first-place finish at the Hawaii Pacific Invitational.  The Seasiders, ranked seventh in the West Region in the pre-season rankings, withstood a challenge from Humboldt State, ranked tenth regionally, to claim the win with a team score of 49, three better than the Lumberjacks.

Seasiders Ranked Seventh in Region

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women’s cross country team will open the season as the seventh-ranked team in the West Region according to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association preseason poll.  The Seasiders finished seventh last year at the NCAA II Regional Championships for the highest finish in the program’s NCAA history.
