2011 Men's cross country team

Male Harriers Finish 12th

Spokane, WA—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country team took 12th place at the NCAA II West Regional Championships held today.  The Seasiders totaled 304 points but had three runners break into the school’s top ten times for the 10K distance.

Deavila, Royer Shine at PacWest Meet

Phoenix, AZ—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country team took third place at the Pacific West Conference Championships held today.  The Seasiders totaled 82 points to trail Cal Baptist and Academy of Art for the team title in the meet.

Seven Seasider Harriers Honored

Laie, HI—Seven Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country runners were named to the ten-member Pacific West Conference Honor Roll today for their performances in last week’s Chaminade Invitational.  Matt Belliston, Spencer Deavila, James Clay, Nick Jones, Yuki Kitihara, Jacob Valeriano, and Justin Royer all earned the honors for the Seasiders for leading the team to a first-place finish at the meet.

Seasiders Claim First

Waipahu, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country team placed six runners in the top ten to claim first place team honors today at the Chaminade Invitational.  The Seasiders totaled 24 points to easily out-pace Hawaii Pacific (47) for the team title in the three-team meet.

Three Seasiders Honored

Laie, HI—Three Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country runners were named to the Pacific West Conference Honor Roll today for their performances in last week’s UH-Hilo Invitational.  Spencer Deavila, Daniel Bridge, and Justin Royer all earned the honors for the Seasiders for leading the team to a first-place finish at the meet.

Men Claim Title

Hilo, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country team placed six runners in the top ten to claim first place team honors today at the UH-Hilo Invitational.  The Seasiders totaled 19 points to easily out-pace Alaska-Fairbanks (55) for the team title.

Five Runners Honored

Laie, HI—Five Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country runners were named to the Pacific West Conference Honor Roll today for their performances in last week’s BYU-Hawaii Invitational.  Matt Belliston, Spencer Deavila, Nick Jones, Yuki Kitahara, and Justin Royer all earned the honors for the Seasiders for leading the team to a first-place finish at the meet.

Men Win Invitational

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country team placed seven runners in the top ten to claim first place team honors today at the Brigham Young University Hawaii Invitational.  The Seasiders totaled 22 points to out-pace Hawaii Pacific (48) and Chaminade (84) in the three-team meet.

Male Harriers Second

Kaneohe, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country team finished in second-place finish today at the UH Big Wave Invitational.  The race was dominated by Alaska-Anchorage runners who took the top five spots and seven of the top ten with the Seasiders claiming two top ten positions.

Deavila, Belliston Named to PacWest Honor Roll

Seasiders Claim Second Place

Kahaluu, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country team opened the season with a second-place finish at the Hawaii Pacific Invitational today.  The race was dominated by Alaska-Anchorage runners who took the top five spots and eight of the top ten with the Seasiders claiming the other top ten positions.

Seasiders Ranked Ninth in Region for Pre-Season

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s cross country team is ranked ninth in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) pre-season rankings released today.
